614 Volunteer Gliding Squadron is based at MDPGA Wethersfield in the heart of Essex.
The Squadron is staffed by volunteers who provide gliding training for Air Cadets from the Air Cadet Organisation.
The ACO is made up of the Air Training Corps and the Combined Cadet Force (RAF). There are over 900 Air Training Corps squadrons within communities around the UK and approximately 200 Combined Cadet Force (RAF) units, coming together in independant and state schools across the country.
